Forest Meadows is a planned community located four miles east of the charming Mother Lode community of Murphys off Highway 4 (Ebbetts Pass) at the perfect elevation above the fog and below most of the snow. Cooler than downtown Murphys in the summer. Underground utilities are available (water, sewer, power). Sportspersons’ paradise with nearby lakes, skiing, hiking and camping. The Forest Meadows Development Company and Lou Papais started the development in 1973 and retained a few desirable parcels of land along the Forest Meadows Golf course for potential condominiums.
